Anders Thorup: When the first wave of ad corona hit us, our entire market shut down from one day to the next. We spent the time focusing on innovation rather than sales. We “locked ourselves inside a bunker” and asked ourselves that question. If we were to build the platform with all the knowledge we have after four years, then how would we do it? We used findings to get started with the most significant update of our platform that will be launched at the beginning of the new year. Under the second wave of covid-19, we now feel that the need to integrate new employees who may have to work remotely has exploded. Therefore, we are experiencing an increased demand for our digital Pre & Onboarding platform. Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned? Anders Thorup: When the first wave of Covid-19 hit the Nordic countries, we tried to neglect our market’s needs. We agreed to work even harder and keep pushing. “The lesson learned” is: that you can’t force something and that can’t be pushed. After we realized this, we changed our focus to R&D innovation and retention so we would be even more ready when the market was back to normal. How do you deal with stress and anxiety? How do you project yourself and introDus in the future? Anders Thorup: One of the things I am most proud of in introDus is that we know and respect that: to perform at work, you must have your private foundation in place. That is why we do not have fixed working hours. You can work from home as much as you want. You can take time off whenever you want. You determine your work rhythm. By not having a framework with rules, our employees have the optimal conditions for creating an integrated balance. Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game? Anders Thorup: Our biggest competitors are big groups such as SAP / SuccessFactors, etc. From the beginning, we have only “trained” one thing: Integration = Pre & Onboarding of employees. Everything we build, do, and think is centered on this point. That’s why we “beat” our competitors again and again. They want to win gold in everything, while we do not want to win gold in everything, but we want to win gold in Pre & Onboarding. Your final thoughts? Anders Thorup: Who do you think is the most valuable resource in an organization? Employees, your Human Capital! Employees can either make or break an organization, truly making them an organization’s lifeline.
